Three-time Mayor and long-serving City Councilwoman Susan Brooks is a Trump-supporting Republican.
“It was exhilarating,” said Rancho Palos Verdes City Councilmember Susan Brooks, who joined the glitzy guest list at the hastily assembled event, which didn’t appear on the president’s agenda until just before Marine One, the presidential helicopter, landed at the golf course. “It was a rush.”
“I have absolutely no problem taking money from Donald Trump.” said Brooks, quoted in the Daily Breeze. Ms. Brooks took money from Trump National Golf Course, as did candidates Dora de la Rosa, Jerry Duhovic and Dave Emenheiser.
Despite this she has support from prominent local Democrats like Janice Hahn. Ms. Brooks is also endorsed by former PV High graduate and former South Bay Representative Dana Rohrabacher.

Like fellow candidates Dora de la Rosa, Jerry Duhovic and Dave Emenheiser, Brooks accepted a $1,000 contribution from the Trump National Golf Club – a facility that has been in the middle of contentious relations between the city and real estate mogul Donald Trump.
