Mr. Brian Campbell could be described as a ‘Fox News Republican’ based on his overall positions and demeanor.
In interviews, he notes that he worked with the Trump organization since 2009. Former Mayor Tom Long alleges that Mr. Campbell funneled donations from the Trump Organization to other City Council members.
Special Interests And Transparency In Government… One of Susan Brooks’ leading supporters, Councilmember Brian Campbell, has been acting as an agent for the Trump Organization offering donations from it to council candidates. Mr. Campbell is endorsed by former PV High graduate and former South Bay Representative Dana Rohrabacher.
Mr. Campbell also served as Mayor of RPV. A fan of Mr. Trump and his efforts, Mr. Campbell traveled to Washington to see the January 2017 inauguration.
Recently, he has been in a battle with the City Council because he used a non-city Gmail to conduct city business. This effort to recover his emails has cost the city $130,000 dollars. What could possibly be worth hiding from the city and the public? It might not even be related to the Trump organization. But it is worth noting that the person who might be the biggest Trump advocate is also reluctant to comply public records laws.
